Centaur Beginnings Child Care provides families with onsite child care for Brooklyn Center Community Schools #286. We provide care for children 6 weeks - 3 years old.

After school care for the current school year is full. Please continue with registration if you would like to be added to the waitlist. Our fee based child care program provides fun and engaging activities for school age children during after-school, non-school days and summer. Grades Preschool through 5th at Brooklyn Center Elementary School. For the upcoming school year, students in Preschool & Pre-K, please register for Early Learning Centaur Plus.

Our full day preschool class allows 3 year old scholars to discover the world around them through fun, hands-on learning and an engaging curriculum. This class is designed to incorporate elements of preschool, child care and social and emotional learning to meet the needs of children and families. Children must be 3 before 9/1/2024.

The Early Childhood Centaur Plus program provides before, after school, non-school day and summer child care for students ages 3-5 attending Preschool & Pre-K.

LEAP 21 is FREE for all registered students going into grades 6-9, and is funded through a combination of a 21st Century Community Learning grant and Targeted Services. The program is facilitated by licensed teachers and trained youth development professionals to ensure we offer a high quality program to our students. Monday-Thursday June 17-July 25 8:30am-1:00pm Location for all camps will be at the South Campus: 5951 Earle Brown Drive Brooklyn Center, MN 55430 Schedule 8:00-8:30 Breakfast 8:30-12:30 Camps 12:30-1:00 Lunch 1:00 Departure Breakfast and Lunch are provided daily for ALL students! Each camp will have at least one field trip per week related to their respective camps to increase student engagement.

STEP 21 Summer is a summer program that combines academic rigor with enrichment opportunities so all students can grow socially, emotionally and academically.
