  • LEAP 21 Summer

    LEAP 21 is FREE for all registered students going into grades 6-9, and is funded through a combination of a 21st Century Community Learning grant and Targeted Services. The program is facilitated by licensed teachers and trained youth development professionals to ensure we offer a high quality program to our students. Monday-Thursday June 17-July 25 8:30am-1:00pm Location for all camps will be at the South Campus: 5951 Earle Brown Drive Brooklyn Center, MN 55430 Schedule 8:00-8:30 Breakfast 8:30-12:30 Camps 12:30-1:00 Lunch 1:00 Departure Breakfast and Lunch are provided daily for ALL students! Each camp will have at least one field trip per week related to their respective camps to increase student engagement.

    LEAP offers exciting enrichment activities in such areas as arts, entrepreneurship, youth leadership, physical activity, STEM, and more! Middle schoolers will also have time to gain skills in reading and math. The program is led by licensed teachers and qualified youth program staff.

    The Community Education department will be hosting a monthly Parents Night Out for families of Brooklyn Center! Parents and guardians, you can enjoy a much deserved break while your children ages 3 years old to 5th grade participate in fun activities including, movie night, dance parties, games, arts and crafts!     Four Year olds will have the opportunity to learn new things while supporting their social emotional growth. In preparation for kindergarten, students will work on name writing, letter identification, letter sounds, rhyming, alliteration and Concepts About Print. Child must be Age 4 by September 1, 2023 This Course is Full - Registration is Closed *Please note - Registration is not complete until Brooklyn Center Preschool enrollment packet has been filled out and submitted in addition to online registration.     STEP Summer Program is an additional academic and enrichment opportunity to accelerate a student’s learning from outside the traditional classroom setting. STEP at Brooklyn Center Elementary STEAM focus on academics, technology, enrichment, and health and wellness. The STEP summer program offers a variety of alternative learning techniques and experiences to enhance the academic environment. The main goal of STEP Summer Program is to give students the tools, techniques, strengths and confidence as a learner to be successful. Students are also able to explore and focus in areas of interest. Free breakfast, lunch and snack are provided Field trips are included with registration. Transportation provide to those who are eligible.

    Our full day preschool class allows 3 year old scholars to discover the world around them through fun, hands-on learning and an engaging curriculum. This class is designed to incorporate elements of preschool, child care and social and emotional learning to meet the needs of children and families. Children must be 3 before 9/1/2024.
